Germany-based market research company GfK has selected Basware, a Finnish e-procurement and e-invoicing software company, for its Invoice Automation offering.

As a result, GfK is currently implementing the new technology at its Shared Service Center to centralize the invoice processing practices across North America. GfK is expected to scan and capture 50,000 annual paper and email invoices and send them electronically to the Basware Invoice Automation system.

The Group employs 10,000 people working in 150 operating companies covering more than 100 countries around the world.

Basware’s global open network allows suppliers to employ their existing e-invoicing offerings without the need to install proprietary technologies for connecting buyers and suppliers. Basware enables buyers and suppliers to use one interface to connect with their business partners either directly via Basware or through its e-invoicing network partners.

In recent news, Basware has entered an agreement with local discount retailer Tokmanni Oy to provide the latter with its invoice automation suite, media outlet reuters.com reports.
