US-based retail electronic payment services company IPP of America (IPP) has acquired US bill payment services provider AmeraCash Solutions.

With the acquisition, IPP has expanded its retail and biller network for cash-preferred consumers. IPP provides its consumers with domestic and international bill payment processing services. Thus, the company enables consumers to pay by phone, have access to international mobile phone top-ups, as well as use prepaid wireless and debit cards.

In addition, IPP has rebranded as Softgate Systems and has launched a new retail brand, dubbed PayXchange, available across the company’s 18.000 US retail locations.

Currently, AmeraCash locations are expected to continue to operate under the AmeraCash brand and have access to PayXchange’s services.
