Junifer Systems to provide EMT with interconnect billing services

Junifer Systems, a UK-based provider of wholesale billing and customer care products, has signed an agreement with Estonian mobile operator EMT, a subsidiary of Nordic and Baltic telecom operator TeliaSonera.

Under the terms of the contract, Junifer Systems has authorized the latter to implement the Junifer Interconnect System to manage its interconnect and wholesale agreements. The Junifer Interconnect System is set to handle over 100 million transactions per month for EMT, processing every kind of traffic such as voice and messaging to interconnection services in a single integrated system.

The Junifer Interconnect System is based on technology in a three tier architecture with C#, Java and any standard recognised database. Junifer’s products have been designed to support telecoms services based on the 3 and 4G iPhone devices. Junifer also provides Customer Information Systems (CIS) to the utility industry, specialising in billing systems for Smart Meter deployments.
