MediaBank, IPS launch joint EDI invoicing services for interactive media transactions

Tuesday 3 November 2009 10:17 CET | News

US integrated procurement technology company and analytics software provider for advertising agencies MediaBank has added an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) invoicing capability to both its MediaBank O|X media procurement platform and its V|P media buy/sell exchange.

The capability, resulting from a partnership with Image Processing Systems (IPS), makes it possible for users to issue secure XML-based EDI vendor invoices for interactive media transactions. IPS provides document scanning, indexing, business process digitization and archiving services for organizations in various industry sectors.

Under the terms of the partnership between the companies, IPS has integrated its business process digitization service into MediaBanks O|X and V|P platforms to make the EDI capability a secure part of the platforms functionality. MediaBank’s O|X platform allows users to manage the media buying lifecycle, covering the interactive (digital/Web/emerging media) segment as well as print, out of home, spot/cable, network and direct response.

MediaBank V|P is a real-time platform that enables publishers and media properties to sell and advertisers and agencies to buy media.
MediaBanks new EDI interactive media invoice capability meets the early XML standards set forth by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Ad Operations Council. The electronic invoicing format supports all placement-level IDs including name, month of service and cost/rate.
