SEEBURGER implements SAPs Global Trade Services app

Wednesday 17 July 2013 09:36 CET | News

Global business integration software provider SEEBURGER has unveiled that in cooperation with enterprise application software provider SAP, it implemented the new version of the SAP Global Trade Services application for more than 200 customers.

These customers, who are exporters and importers, have access to higher data quality, faster introduction and execution processes, international trade compliance and uniform foreign trade practices across the entire enterprise.

In releases ATLAS 8.4 and AES 2.1 of the German customs solutions, the custom number is replaced by the Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification number (EORI number) in all customs procedures as of January 31, 2013. Meanwhile the German customs authorities are announcing the next set of changes for September 2013, which will contain ATLAS 8.4.5 and AES 2.2. Enterprises that operate in international trade are therefore forced to continually update their software. This is the only way they can comply with constantly changing international legislation, integrate the electronic means of communication of government and customs authorities, and avoid costly delays.

SEEBURGER provides B2B integration solutions for customs systems. This includes transfers of iDoc messages, conversions to the EDIFACT format and technical transfers to customs authorities. With the SEEBURGER Business Integration Server, the varying requirements of customs authorities in Europe and in the US can be met. Moreover, SEEBURGERs certified customs management solution for ATLAS 8.4 and AES 2.1 is not restricted to Germany – it is currently available for another 14 countries.

The SAP Global Trade Services application is based on the SAP NetWeaver technology platform and can be integrated into existing landscapes of solutions from SAP and other vendors.

In recent news, Computer Services (CSI), a provider of end-to-end technology, has become an OEM partner of SAP to provide the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform embedded within CSI’s NuPoint core system.
