Swiss Post teams up with Intrum Justitia

Swiss Post, via its subsidiary PostFinance, has teamed up with European Credit Management Services (CMS) group Intrum Justitia to roll out a new service, dubbed Factoring Plus. The product is offered by Debtors Service, the newly-established subsidiary of Swiss Post.

The Factoring Plus product suite is expected to offer Swiss enterprises several services, including accounts receivables management, preliminary financing and payment guarantee.

Moreover, accounts receivable management is set to include creditworthiness checks, accounting and reminders, whereas preliminary financing is expected to enable business customers to receive up to 90 percent of the invoice amount after the invoice has been sent to their customers. Finally, payment guarantees is set to prevent accounts receivable losses.

The Factoring Plus service targets online shops and companies which offer invoicing services, including telecoms providers, water and electricity companies, as well as Swiss SMEs from several industries.

Factoring Plus is expected to be made available to the Swiss market in early 2011.
