Tieto awarded SWIFTReady 2009 accreditation

Tuesday 8 September 2009 09:41 CET | News

Finnish IT and electronic invoicing services provider Tieto has been awarded the SWIFTReady Payments 2009 label for its Payment Suite.

The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) operates a worldwide financial messaging network which exchanges messages between banks and other financial institutions, and its SWIFTReady accreditation attests that Tieto provides SWIFT-compliant payment solutions.

Tietos Payment Suite assists banks in establishing integrated payment architecture for domestic, SEPA and cross border payments. Its Payment Engine allows banks to cut back on costs and enhance straight through processing (STP) via back-office operations. The Payment Manager also enables banks to establish middle-office capabilities.

SWIFT initiated the SWIFTReady Label programme 10 years ago in order to maintain constant standards for third-party applications and services providers.
