Vestas Wind Systems selects Tradeshift for CloudScan product

Friday 16 November 2012 10:57 CET | News

Danish e-invoicing B2B social network operator Tradeshift has entered a deal with Danish manufacturer, seller, installer and servicer of wind turbines Vestas Wind Systems, online media outlet techcrunch.com reports.

According to the source, Tradeshift is set to provide Vestas Wind Systems with its CloudScan product designed for suppliers that looks to eliminate the need for manual input of invoices received via email, PDF or paper. This means that invoices emailed to Vestas are automatically converted via OCR and bounced back to the supplier to validate it.

Tradeshift’s business model is based on creating an API platform for free, thus allowing third parties to create other applications, as well as create a network with their suppliers, customers and partners to streamline common business processes.

In recent news, Tradeshift has entered a strategic partnership with SaaS supply chain finance (SCF) platform operator PrimeRevenue.
