Alibaba, Shenzhen Municipal Government enter agreement for the development of e-commerce platform

Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba is set to establish an international e-commerce platform in Shenzhen, as a result of a collaboration with the local municipal government.

As a result of this partnership, Alibaba.com will open an international operation headquarters and a cloud computing R&D centre in the Chinese city. The company also plans to expand the agreement with the Shenzhen Municipal Government in terms of electronics information, banks, insurance and logistics. The program has already received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce of China.
