Alternet Systems to roll out mobile commerce program

Alternet Systems, an enabler of mobile commerce services in the Americas and Caribbean, has revealed plans to adopt a new mobile commerce strategy.

In a bid to increase market awareness, the company has initiated a communications campaign. Alternets profile is now available on the New York Times website and CNNMoney.com.

The companys services focus on mobile payment and mobile commerce systems which tie together telecom operators, financial institutions, and payees such as mass public transportation and utility providers. Alternet divisions include Utiba Americas, a joint venture with Utiba Pte Ltd., a provider of mobile payment and financial transaction software and Tekvoice Communications, a provider of hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) billing services.
