Avangate adds Dankort, Ukash as localisation capabilities in EMEA, LATAM

Thursday 2 February 2012 13:52 CET | News

Avangate, a Netherlands-based developer of e-commerce and channel management technology for software companies, has added two new localisation capabilities, Dankort and Ukash, to its register of accepted payment methods.

The Dankort debit card adds to Avangates portfolio of Danish localization support, including order interface and my Account shopper area in Danish and the local Danish Krone currency.

Ukash vouchers are usually issued online or via shops, kiosks, ATMs and telephone booths and can be delivered as printed-paper receipts, single-use cards, SMS or email. The vouchers are distributed in over 420,000 locations in 50 countries and are popular in Europa, Middle East, African and Latin America. Each voucher has a 19-digit PIN, value, currency and expiration date, thus they are prepaid, enabling both vendors and customers to avoid risks associated with fraud.

The Avangate e-commerce platform currently supports multiple localisation capabilities for ordering software online and via channel partners. The e-commerce capabilities also include 28 languages, 30 payment methods and 48 display currencies.
