Avangate, Tuji Group to expand presence in APAC region

Avangate, a Netherlands-based developer of e-commerce and channel management technology for software companies, has expanded its present in Asia-Pacific region by closing a deal with Chinese Tuji Group, a technology and marketing company and by adding support and localization capabilities for the region.

The new alliance will enable vendors accelerate penetration into APAC markets and APAC-based vendors to sell globally. In addition to the partnership, Avangate has added localization capabilities specific to the APAC region to the SkyCommerce solution, including:
• Chinese Debit Card Processing, which enables vendors to offer over 40 Chinese local payment options and cards;
• Konbini Payment Method for Japan which is one of the most popular payment methods for online purchases in Japan;
• Support for Yahoo! Wallet Japan - a payment method with over 22 million registered users;
• Hindi Ordering Language - spoken by more than 490 million worldwide with the majority in India. India by itself is poised to grow at a CAGR of 57 percent over the next five years (Asia Pacific Online Retail Forecast, 2011 To 2016, Forrester Research, 4/16/2012). This addition extends Avangates local language support to 30 languages;
• Japanese Language Phone Shopper Support.

The Avangate e-commerce platform currently supports multiple localisation capabilities for ordering software online and via channel partners. The e-commerce capabilities also include 28 languages, 30 payment methods and 48 display currencies.
