Thursday 2 August 2012 09:20 CET | News

US-based e-commerce services provider Bongo International has received PCI-DSS Level 1 certification.

PCI-DSS is a payment card security standard that evaluates payment account data security by assessing the company’s network architecture, software design, security policies, procedures and protective practices. The PCI requirements have been developed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes American Express, Discover, JCB International, MasterCard and Visa.

To achieve Level 1 certification, Bongo has been submitted to an audit of data storage, encryption measures, network systems, access controls, threat and vulnerability management, monitoring and testing procedures and security policies.

Bongo enables over 3,000 merchants to transact international orders through a series of services that provide the merchant with fraud guarantees, multi-currency payment options, language translation, and international fulfillment.
