Busca Corp, a US-based entertainment media and service provider, and Gamers Retail Stores, a video games provider, have entered a strategic agreement to develop a video game e-commerce website aimed at Spanish-speaking video game fans in Latin America and the US.

As part of the deal, Busca Corp will supervise and operate the online store using their proprietary software, will implement social media tools and integrate content from LevelUp.com, while Gamers will manage product and physical distribution of video game products. Gamers.LevelUp.com will support fans through the buying process, from the identification stage through the educational search for information and concluding with access to purchase.

In Mexico, where 50 percent of the population is under the age of 25, the video game industry generates more sales than movies and music combined and has registered an annual growth rate of over 18 percent y-o-y since 2004. Latin America expects to see the sale of in-game virtual goods double to more than USD 600 million by 2014. In the US, the Hispanic population continues unprecedented 43 percent growth over the last decade.

Busca Corp has also revealed plans to create a digital download platform aimed at Spanish speaking video gamers worldwide. The company is currently working on a digital distribution platform which will allow users to download their favorite games and automatically download it to their computer. The digital distribution platform launch is set for the end of 2012.
