Chase Card Services, a division of financial services firm JP Morgan Chase and global e-commerce company Amazon have launched a new feature on the Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card which provides card members with the ability to use rewards points to pay on Amazon.com.

The new feature, dubbed Amazon Shop with Points, enables card members to redeem rewards points at checkout. Additionally, via the new feature, card members are able to combine any amount of points with their Amazon.com Visa card, Amazon.com Gift Cards, or Amazon Payments account balance to pay for their purchases.

In recent news, Chase Card Services has made available EMV chip technology for its JP Morgan Select Visa Signature card. Chase’s cards with chip-and-signature technology are set to include both an embedded encrypted chip and traditional magnetic strip to accommodate merchants in the US. The embedded microchip of chip-and-signature is set to process and store data, thus preventing cyber killers from copying it.
