China eliminates illegal ecommerce-related activities

The Chinese State Administration for Industry and Commerce will launch a campaign to eliminate illegal ecommerce activities found in violation of regulations and to boost merchants` online rankings.

The campaign is set to run from May to November 2016 and targets trademark violations, counterfeit, poor quality products and the faking of transactions, according to People`s Daily, reuters.com reports.

The State Administration for Industry and Commerce campaign could affect internet companies such as Alibaba, JD.com and Baidu.
