China Merchants Bank introduces new transaction limits

China Merchants Bank (CMB) has changed the transaction limit for payments made via the banks online payment system through third-party payment companies, according to the online media outlet marbridgeconsulting.com.

The changes imposed by the CMB stipulate a lower upper limit for online payments and transfers using the banks Yi Ka Tong debit card from USD 766 (CNY 5000) per day to USD 76 (CNY 500) per day.

Furthermore, according to CMBs new measures, single-day transactions for credit card users will also be limited to USD 76 (CNY 500).

The Shenzhen Development Bank has also set a new limit for the third-party single transactions at USD 766 (CNY 5000) without affecting non third-party transactions.
