Google releases Zavers digital coupon solution

Tuesday 15 January 2013 10:34 CET | News

Google has rolled out its Google digital coupon solution for retailers and manufacturers, dubbed Zavers.

The newly introduced solution will provide retailers and manufacturers with data on coupon redemption and loyalty campaigns. Additionally, according to Google, Zavers can also enable manufacturers to prevent fraud.

Users can find Zavers discounts on retailers websites and then save them to their accounts. When they check out, savings are deducted without the need to scan coupons, though users need to link the account to their rewards cards or phone numbers.

Google has purchased Zave Networks, a provider of coupons and loyalty rewards programs, in 2011. The service is currently only available in the US.

In December 2012, Google has shut down its shopping search service in China, as it was not providing businesses with the level of impact we had hoped.
