US e-commerce technology developer Magento and B2B eProcurement market services provider PunchOutCatalogs.com have teamed up to bring B2C services to B2B e-commerce.

As part of the deal, the PunchOut marketplace enables companies to add Magentos user interface to any ERP service and drive eProcurement compliance. PunchOutCatalogs.com provides Magento powered services to both buyers and suppliers via connectivity with eProcurement platforms, including SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft and Ariba.

From a supplier perspective, PunchOut offers Magento powered shopping cart which integrates with all eProcurement engines in the market. Thus, suppliers are able to manage the PunchOut services to gain access at B2B e-commerce and connect with all of their buyers.

In recent news, eBay has agreed to acquire Magento, following a minority stake acquisition in the company in 2010. eBay will own 100 percent of the outstanding shares of Magento.
