SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp Malaysia) has entered an agreement with Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to boost the adoption of an e-commerce platform among small and medium enterprises.

Dubbed MDEX.com, the independent e-commerce platform provides two applications namely e-documentation and online payment. The two companies involved in the project aim to get 2,000 SMEs within a year to use the MDEX.com.

MDeC is a government-owned institution responsible for the management of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia) in Malaysia as a technology industry and commerce zone.
