As part of the deal, ModusLink will integrate PagBrasil’s payment support services into its clients’ existing e-commerce websites and provide product fulfillment and shipping services from any of its global facilities.
In addition to expanding services to Brazil, ModusLink currently manages all aspects of multi-lingual and multi-currency e-commerce solutions for clients across North America, Europe and the Asia/Pacific region.
According to a recent report from Forrester Research, e-commerce in Brazil will reach USD 12 billion in 2012. Companies that wish to do consumer-facing business in the country must be able to manage its payment options for goods and services, including local credit cards, installment plans, cash deposits and payment programs managed by national banks.
