Naspers acquires Brazils BuscaPe.com for USD 342 million

African media group Naspers has bought 91 percent stake in Brazilian e-commerce group BuscaPe.com for USD 342 million, as part of its expansion plans in Latin America.

Naspers also owns two European e-commerce businesses, namely Tradus and Allegro. BuscaPe offers comparison shopping systems for over 100 portals and websites in Latin America, including Microsoft, Globo and Abril, with 10 million products and more than 320,000 online and offline stores.
