QuBit, a startup whose analytics platform helps e-commerce websites with customer personalisation, has secured USD 7.5 million in a Series A funding round led by investment company Balderton Capital with participation from existing angel investors.

As part of the deal, general partner Bernard Liatuad, who founded and sold Business Objects to SAP for USD 6.8 billion, will join QuBit’s board.

QuBit was founded in 2010 and its main product is OpenTag, a cloud-based product which allows websites to manage tags from multiple analytics, marketing and ad services from one place. The current funding will be used to continue to develop the product, as well as a new SaaS analytics platform. The company has also revealed plans to expand across the US and Europe.
