ShopSocially launches social commerce suite

US social recommendation platform ShopSocially has introduced its social commerce suite, dubbed Social Connect for online retailers.

Via Social Connect, ShopSocially enables shoppers to become brand ambassadors generating incremental traffic and new customers via friend recommendations. Additionally, it allows retailers to monetize their fan base by creating a shopping community, dubbed Shoppers, on their Facebook fan page.

Fans are able to see what purchases their friends and other shoppers make at the retailer site and engage in a conversation. Shoppers tab also includes capabilities such as top shoppers, top products and other engaging social widgets.

ShopSocially has also entered partnerships with retailers including Sephora, CafePress, Zales, Rawlings Gear. ShopSocially is set to turn purchases into a social connection enabling customers to share product recommendations to over 300,000 social media users daily.

According to the global consulting firm Booz & Co., the social commerce market will reach USD 30 billion per year by 2015.
