UAE: MasterCard, Telr collaborate to set higher sails in ecommerce

MasterCard and Telr, an online payment gateway, have announced a collaboration to facilitate small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the United Arab Emirates online presence.

Currently, SMEs account for nearly 95% of companies in Dubai and employ around 42% of the total workforce1, zawya.com reports. This strategic collaboration between MasterCard and Telr will be instrumental in further accelerating growth of ecommerce and will play an important role in driving more use of safe and electronic payments online.

MasterCard is conducting more than 25 host card emulation (HCE) projects in 15 countries, with multiple issuers now moving close to commercial deployments.
