VeriSign and buySAFE partner for e-commerce security initiative

Wednesday 5 August 2009 00:47 CET | News

Internet infrastructure services provider VeriSign has entered an alliance with US e-commerce services provider buySAFE.

As a result of the partnership, the companies will combine buySAFEs inspection and bonding services with the VeriSign Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificates and VeriSign Secured Seal solutions. buySAFE provides online merchants with a bonding solution that monitors the performance of a merchants business, allowing shoppers to bond their purchases. The buySAFE partnership with VeriSign is one of several initiatives VeriSign has had in collaboration with various firms, including Qualys and mobile broadband network infrastructure systems developer Airvana (to create security tools for femtocell systems).
