Cambodia-based financial institution Acleda Bank has selected US financial services technology company Fiserv for the latter’s Mobiliti Reach mobile banking service.

Mobiliti Reach enables unbanked consumers to create and fund an Acleda Unity mobile only account dubbed ‘Unity Account’ from which they can complete transactions including person-to-person payments (P2P), bill payments, mobile phone top ups and cash deposits and withdrawals via Acleda branches, ATMs and offline offices.

Mobiliti from Fiserv supports mobile banking and payments for financial institutions and consumers worldwide. It is available in distinct versions, including Mobiliti Reach, which is designed for mass market consumers in emerging markets. Mobiliti supports mobile access modes including messaging (SMS and USSD), mobile browser and downloadable applications, as well as support for tablet applications.

In recent news, US telecommunications services provider AT&T has extended the agreement with Fiserv to provide the latter’s CheckFreePay walk-in bill payment service to 13 additional states for AT&T wireline customers.
