Airline company fastjet, Vodacom team up for mobile payment services in Tanzania

Pan-African low-cost airline company fastjet has entered an agreement with Vodacom Tanzania, a mobile communication services provider to launch a mobile payment service.

Under the agreement, the new service enables fastjet customers to buy airline tickets using their mobile phones.

Vodacom M-Pesa provides its customers with a way to pay for services such as utility bills, airtime recharge for prepaid, taxes, long-distance bus fares and other services.
