Canadian e-commerce and m-commerce services provider AnywhereCommerce has inked an agreement with Spindle, a provider of mobile commerce and alternative payment services for businesses and consumers.

Under the terms of the agreement, AnywhereCommerce is set to supply mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) products for Spindles MeNetwork.

AnywhereCommerce has a magnetic-stripe card payment acceptance technology that turns smartphones and tablets into mobile payment terminals. Following the agreement, MeNetwork customers are set to have access to this technology.

Moreover, AnywhereCommerces audio-jack-connectable mPOS appliances allow merchants served by Spindle to transact business on their smartphones or tablets.

In recent news, mobile wallet platform Paytoo has entered an agreement with provider of mobile payment and mobile commerce solutions Mobilepaid and AnywhereCommerce to deliver PayTooSwipe a mobile payment acceptance solution that can support payment presentation technologies.
