appbackr, MoVend to provide mobile app distribution throughout Asia

appbackr , a US-based digital market exchange for mobile applications has partnered Movend, a mobile in-app payments platform that supports multiple payment options in Asia.

Under the terms of the agreement, carrier stores and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) app stores throughout Asia are expected to be provided with apps through appbackr’s Xchange program and SmartApps algorithm.

appbackr’s SmartApps algorithm is expected to enable the finding of apps according to the customer’s specified parameters by using predictive analytics.

The algorithm then distributes the apps to the appropriate retail channels and target audiences based on that data.

MoVend is expected to use appbackr to bring apps to various app stores in Asia including the Samsung Apps Store , HTC China, Lenovo China, StarAndroid, AppChina, MTI – Logtomo, AIS (Thailand), SingTel (Singapore), M1 (Singapore), Globe (Philippines) , Telkomsel (Indonesia), Bharti Airtel (India), Optus (Australia), Telstra (Australia), 3 (Australia) and Maxis (Malaysia).
