Australian banks partner for payment platform Beem

The Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank and Westpac have partnered to create Beem, a mobile peer-to-peer (P2P) payments platform.

The payments platform is designed to allow customers to have a digital wallet on their mobile and make P2P payments.

The service will be free and available for iOS and Android devices, the banks avoiding to state the exact date for the release.
