Austrian mobile messaging and mobile payments company Dimoco has seen a 228 percent increase in its general mobile payment transaction volume between 2008 and 2011.

Additionally, Dimoco has also witnessed a 261 percent increase in the mobile payment transaction volume for virtual goods between September 2010 and September 2011.

The reasons for the success of mobile operator payment, according to Dimoco, are a combination of advanced technology, the new business models it has spawned and the general advantages of mobile operator payment. Dimoco feels that mobile operator payment has become an attractive billing method for many providers in the micropayment sector due to the high penetration rate of mobile end devices, attractive payouts, high conversion rates and its overall ease as a billing method.

Dimoco develops, operates and markets a mobile messaging and payment transaction hub. On the one hand, this hub serves to bundle connections to mobile operators in the Central and Eastern European countries; on the other hand, by means of standardized interfaces it provides business customers with the means to transact their operator payment services.
