Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas to distribute Identive Groups RFID, NFC products

Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business subsidiary of global electronic components distributor Avnet, has signed a distribution agreement with Identive Group, a provider of solutions and services for the identification, security and RFID industries.

The agreement provides Avnets customers with access to Identive’s RFID and NFC readers and embedded modules, in addition to an array of RFID/NFC passive transponders and tags. Identive’s RFID and NFC products enable contactless applications including access, payment, ticketing and asset tracking.

In recent news, Identive Group has received an order for more than 300,000 SCR3310v2 smart card readers to support a national electronic ID card program in the Middle East.
