India-based financial services provider Axis Bank has selected Array Networks, a provider of application delivery networking, for the latter’s APV2600 application delivery controllers to ensure the availability of its Axis Mobile mobile banking applications.

Under the agreement, Array Networks implemented cluster units of APV2600 ADCs and SSL offloading with cipher controls on the same units to enhance server efficiency and give servers more compute power to dedicate to supporting mobile application traffic. Mid-range APV Series appliances integrate functionalities including SSL acceleration, TCP multiplexing, dynamic caching, selective compression and high-speed HTTP processing.

In recent news, Axis Bank has entered an agreement with remittance and currency exchange company UAE Exchange and Financial Services to enable consumers to transfer money across India using their mobile devices.
