BilltoMobile to launch global mobile payments offering

US mobile payments provider for online purchases BilltoMobile is planning to launch its payment service globally, in a bid to offer US-based online digital goods and services merchants the option to process web purchases on over 200 carriers in 60 countries.

As a result, BilltoMobile has partnered with Mobile First, a US mobile payments company, in a bid to combine the reach of US-based provider of mobile billing services Danal and Mobile First. Thus, BilltoMobile merchants now have access to over mobile operators and mobile subscribers in the EU, Asia and South America.

The new global service offering is expected to be launched in June 2011. As part of future developments, BilltoMobile is planning to enter new agreements with several mobile carriers, resellers, merchants and payment partners.

BilltoMobiles payment gateway is directly connected to several US carriers billing, authentication and customer care systems. Purchases require no pre-registration or special hardware and can be carried out without any association with credit or bank cards. Purchases appear directly on the subscribers wireless bill.

In recent news, BilltoMobile has entered several agreements with a number of online merchants. Some of the merchants include Aeria Games, Gala-Net, Flirtomatic, Lavalife.com and Xtranormal.
