Blackbaud enters partnership with ROAM

US-based software services provider Blackbaud has entered an agreement with US mobile commerce platform provider ROAM Data, a subsidiary of French-based provider of payment services Ingenico.

Under the agreement, Blackbaud is set to use ROAMs platform as the basis for a mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) offering for nonprofit clients. Blackbaud MobilePay enables Blackbauds nonprofit clients to accept credit and debit card payments via smartphone or tablets.

Blackbaud provides cloud-based software solutions and related services for organizations of all sizes including: fundraising, eMarketing, advocacy, constituent relationship management (CRM), financial management, payment services, analytics and vertical-specific solutions.

ROAM Data is a provider of encrypted mobile card readers that supplies services for a number of retailers, acquirers and PSPs, including companies such as iPayment, Groupon, Vantiv, Intuit, North American Bankcard, Sage Payments, NPC and Total Merchant Services. ROAM also provides a mobile card acceptance service from peripheral to app to provisioning and support portal that can be white labeled for its partners. It also has a set of tools for developers to build POS apps and mobile checkout apps of their own.

In recent news, ROAM Data has been selected by Southwestern Advantage, an international education and character development company,to power its mPOS solution.
