BOCHK launches BOC e-Wallet - Mobile Payment Service

Financial institution Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK) has launched BOC e-Wallet - Mobile Payment Service. This service is applicable to all mobile network service providers, enabling customers to conduct cross-border payment through their mobile phones.

To activate the BOC e-Wallet mobile application, customers can use designated near-field communication (NFC)-enabled Android mobile phones with a micro SD card slot. With the BOC e-Wallet, customers don’t have to replace the SIM card and collect the card from the bank.

The service is set to be available for a number of Android smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE, Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy Note II LTE, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S3 and LG Optimus G Pro.

Moreover, the BOC e-Wallet - Mobile Payment Service is set to be accepted by the merchant outlets of MasterCard PayPass, UnionPay QuickPass and Visa payWave.

In recent news, Bank of China (BOC) has rolled out a new version of IPAD Application for online banking, which features a series of capabilities including account overview, transfer and remittance, credit card service, electronic payment, settings, operation record query.
