BPC Banking Technologies, Alfa-Bank launch NFC-powered mobile payments service

BPC Banking Technologies, a provider of open system e-payment services for the global financial industry, Russian financial institution Alfa-Bank have launched a contactless payment service based on NFC technology for Beeline, a Russian telecom operator.

This new service, using MasterCard PayPass Mobile, enables customers to pay for purchases with their mobile phones.

The new solution is currently being pilot-tested for the Bank’s customers and is powered by SmartVista.

In recent news, BPC Banking Technologies has implemented a new person-to-person (P2P) money transfer service for Russian financial services provider Alfa-Bank.
