Brighton Collectibles selects VeriFones GlobalBay Mobile POS option

Wednesday 21 December 2011 11:18 CET | News

US accessories manufacturer Brighton Collectibles has chosen the GlobalBay Mobile POS (mPOS) offering from electronic payment services provider VeriFone to be deployed nationwide at more than 150 company-owned locations.

More than 300 iPod Touch systems equipped with VeriFone credit card readers are being utilized to ensure sales associates are able to engage customers on the spot rather than asking them to wait in line at the cash register.

With VeriFone’s GlobalBay Apps store associates are empowered to work with the customers as they are shopping throughout the store, reducing the risk that shoppers will grow frustrated by waiting and abandon the purchase process.

In November 2011, VeriFone Systems acquired Global Bay Mobile Technologies, a UK-based provider of mobile retail software, to extend smartphone and tablet-based shopping and payment offerings to retail organizations.
