With VeriFone’s GlobalBay Apps store associates are empowered to work with the customers as they are shopping throughout the store, reducing the risk that shoppers will grow frustrated by waiting and abandon the purchase process. In November 2011, VeriFone Systems acquired Global Bay Mobile Technologies, a UK-based provider of mobile retail software, to extend smartphone and tablet-based shopping and payment offerings to retail organizations.
