C. Wonder selects VeriFones GlobalBay Mobile and PAYware Mobile Enterprise for in-store mobile POS

US retailer C. Wonder has selected US-based electronic payment services provider VeriFone for its GlobalBay Mobile and PAYware Mobile Enterprise services to provide customers with a mobile point of sale option.

Under the agreement, C. Wonder has deployed iPod touch devices in stores. Each device is running the VeriFone GlobalBay app and is equipped with VeriFone’s PAYware Mobile Enterprise which accepts card swipes, encrypts data and enables bar code scanning.

In recent news, the VeriFone GlobalBay retailing app for the iPad has been used by US retailer Eastern Mountain Sports in a pilot program running in four stores.
