Canada: Payfirma updates its mobile payment app

Tuesday 31 January 2012 14:00 CET | News

Canadian mobile payment processing technology company Payfirma has made available the next version of its mobile payment app.

The updated app allows businesses to access transaction reporting with daily, weekly and monthly sales summaries. Each transaction is tagged with the location of the sale, so merchants and their customers can see their transactions on a map on their mobile device. Payfirma has also updated the app to support multiple languages, starting with French.

The Payfirma app enables businesses or consumers to accept major credit cards via their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad devices. Users can swipe or manually input a credit card, capture a digital signature on the screen and authorize the transaction. A customizable receipt can then be emailed directly to the customer from within the app.

In recent news, Payfirma has entered an agreement with Canadian mortgage broker and financial services provider Mortgages Canada. Under the agreement, Mortgages Canada is set to extend Payfirma’s in-store, e-commerce and mobile payment acceptance services to all its business customers.
