CIBC launched its mobile payment service in Canada in November 2012, allowing consumers to pay for small ticket items with their CIBC credit card at participating retailers using their NFC-enabled smartphones.
The Sequent Wallet Management Platform enables mobile commerce on mobile devices and operating systems, including Android, Blackberry and Windows. In addition, it provides the functionality for apps from banks, merchants and other service providers to add payments on NFC-enabled devices.
