CommBank releases new mobile banking apps

Australian financial services provider Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has launched a new NetBank app for iPad and Android-powered tablets and a new mobile banking app for iPhone, Android and Windows 7 users, media outlet itwire.com reports.

According to the source, the new app is set to provide access to the mobile NetBank and CommSec websites, the CommBank Property Guide and a new foreign exchange toolkit. In addition, the app is expected to allow users to set buying and selling currency alerts and track a currencys historical performance over two years.

The Windows Phone 7 app is expected to become available for download starting 14 July 2011, while the new app aimed at the other mentioned devices is already available for download from the CommBank website or the iTunes and Android app stores.

The financial institution counts USD 649,642 million in assets and over 1,000 branches nationally.
