Corethree partners Cardiff Bus to extend m-ticketing deployment to Wales

Monday 21 October 2013 13:41 CET | News

UK mobile ticketing technology company Corethree has signed an agreement with Cardiff Bus, part of Cardiff City Transport Services, for the provision of mobile ticketing services across the Cardiff Bus network.

The Cardiff Bus m-ticketing app is set to be available via iPhone and Android devices on any mobile network, allowing bus passengers to browse, select, purchase and then use bus tickets from their mobile devices.

Using analytical data, new ticketing services can be created by transport operators via Corethree’s web console. Passengers that require bespoke ticketing such as a book of tickets (to be used over a certain period) or a family ticket can now be provided via mobile.

Passengers using the Cardiff Bus m-ticketing service are also set to have a choice of payment methods when purchasing tickets as Corethree have included Barclays Pingit mobile checkout to their mobile wallet, with the alternative to pay via debit or credit cards.

In recent news, Corethree has closed a partnership with financial services company Barclays for the inclusion of Barclays Pingit ‘mobile check-out’ in Corethree’s award winning mobile wallet for transport ticketing.
