Desjardins Group teams up with EnStream for m-payment services in Canada

Tuesday 13 August 2013 09:17 CET | News

EnStream, a joint venture between Canada-based mobile carriers Rogers, Bell and Telus and Desjardins Group, a cooperative financial group in Canada, have signed an agreement that is set to enable Desjardins members and clients to download payment cards to NFC enabled smartphones on the Bell, Rogers, TELUS, MTS and SaskTel mobile networks coast to coast.

EnStreams platform for NFC designed in collaboration with Canadas wireless providers simplifies the delivery of credentials for financial institutions, card issuers and others. EnStream allows Desjardins to focus on the development of its own branded banking apps and growing customer adoption - without the added time and costs required to ensure compatibility with different wireless networks.

In recent news, SecureKey Technologies, a Canada-based online authentication services provider, has entered an agreement with EnStream to enable SecureKey authentication technology on mobile devices in Canada.
