Tuesday 1 October 2013 13:03 CET | News

Finnish telecommunications company DNA has rolled out DNA Täpäkkä Credit which comes in the form of a sticker for phones or a separate Mastercard.

With DNA Täpäkkä Credit service, users are able to make payments by holding the card or phone sticker against the payment terminal reader. The service can be used for normal shopping, whether on the high street or online, and for withdrawing money from cash dispensers both in Finland and abroad. The phone sticker accompanying the card can be used to pay for shopping baskets costing under EUR 25, wherever retailers payment terminals support the service.

DNA Täpäkkä Credit can be used to pay for goods at sales points accepting MasterCard. OP-Pohjola, the banking operation behind DNA Täpäkkä Credit, is set to provide users with customer service for the solution.

In recent news, DNA and Irish payment technology company 3V Transaction Services (3V) have signed a cooperation agreement to launch DNA Täpäkkä, a virtual Visa payment card that works in smartphones and on the internet.
