EnStream, a joint venture between Canada-based mobile carriers Rogers, Bell and Telus is set to launch a mobile wallet service by the end of 2012, online media outlet engadget.com reports.

According to the source, the new service is set to allow consumers to make mobile payments by storing their financial credentials on the SIM located inside their NFC-enabled phones and not on credit or debit cards. For the mobile wallet service, carriers are set to charge banks a flat rate instead of a per-transaction fee.
