eServGlobal rolls out mobile money service in East Africa

French developer of telecommunications software systems eServGlobal is rolling out its mobile money service to a mobile network operator in East Africa.

The contract includes the provision of mobile money, microfinance, credit, postpaid bill payment, mobile banking, salary disbursement, electronic recharge and mobile wallet functionality.

eServGlobals mobile money services provide access to mobile-based financial services such as a mobile wallet, mobile money transfer, bill payment and salary disbursement. The platform can also be extended to provide more advanced mobile financial services such micro insurance, savings and loans.

eServGlobal develops and implements mobile payment, network services and messaging products for operators in mobile, fixed and IMS network environments. In July 2012, eServGlobal has entered an agreement with Asian mobile network operator Nepal Telecom to enable the latter to provide its customers with bill payment services.
