First Federal Savings Bank partners Bling Nation to offer mobile payment services

Monday 2 August 2010 09:35 CET | News

Financial services provider First Federal Savings Bank has joined forces with mobile financial services company Bling Nation to offer mobile payments to its customers and local businesses.

Bling Nation provides mobile payments services that connect financial institutions, businesses and consumers through tap-and-pay for purchases at the point of sale.

Customers with a checking account at First Federal Savings Bank can now sign up for a BlingTag, a quarter-sized microchip sticker that adheres to the back of their mobile phone to enable debit transactions directly from their account. Each time a purchase is made using a BlingTag, the consumer receives a transaction confirmation and account balance by text message. The BlingTag does not store personal consumer information, thus lowering the risk of exposure to identity theft and fraud.
