First Global launches m-payments and remittance service in Bangladesh

First Global Data (First Global), a provider of online and mobile money services and technology, has unveiled that its subsidiary F1Soft International (F1Soft), a Singapore-based private company, has signed a tri-party agreement with financial institution Bangladesh Commerce Bank (BCB) and wireless services provider Hypertag Solutions (Hypertag).

Under the agreement, First Global is set to provide BCB with its mobile money and domestic and international remittance software dubbed Transborder System. Hypertag is F1Softs local Bangladesh partner and is set to assist F1Soft and First Global in the implementation of the Transborder System.

The Transborder System is also set to connect BCB to the international money transfer system and exchange houses in approximately 150 countries.

In recent news, India-based financial technology services provider Polaris Software has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Commerce Bank and Sonali Bank to deploy its Intellect Core Banking Solution (CBS).
